FAQs

What should I expect from my first session?

In your first session, your clinician will take time to get to know you, understand your concerns, and discuss your goals for therapy. Together, you will review your personal history, current challenges, and what you hope to achieve. This initial session is about building comfort, trust, and creating a plan tailored to your needs.

We work with a variety of insurance providers, but coverage can vary. Before your first session, we recommend reaching out to our office so we can verify your benefits and confirm whether your plan is accepted.

  • United Healthcare
  • Optum/UHC
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield/ Anthem
  • UMR
  • Tricare w/ preauthorization

Yes, we provide counseling services for children and adolescents. Our clinicians use age-appropriate approaches to help young clients express themselves, build coping skills, and address emotional or behavioral challenges in a supportive environment.

If we are not in-network with your insurance provider, you still have options. We can discuss private pay rates, sliding scale fees (when available), or provide documentation for out-of-network reimbursement if your plan offers it.

It’s important to feel comfortable with your therapist. If at any point you feel your clinician may not be the right fit, please let us know. We will be happy to help connect you with another therapist on our team who may better align with your needs and preferences.

How the Process Works

1 . Consultation

We’ll chat on the phone for 15 min to get a better sense of what’s going on and how we can help.

2. Schedule a session

If we believe we have a great therapist match for you, we’ll schedule your first therapy session!

3. Intake paperwork

You’ll complete a few questionnaire and other documents so we can hit the ground running.
