Owner for over 10 years of Changing Tides Counseling, where we provide compassionate, client-centered counseling to help individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges. With 20 years of experience in mental health, I specialize in high conflict relationships, anxiety, depression, trauma, and addictions. I am a Licensed Social Worker(LCSW) and also Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida.
My passion for counseling stems from a deep belief that everyone deserves a safe and supportive space to heal, grow, and thrive. Using evidence-based approaches like CBT, EMDR, mindfulness, I work collaboratively with clients to develop practical strategies that empower them to create lasting change.
At Changing Tides Counseling , we are committed to fostering a warm, nonjudgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts and emotions freely. Whether you’re seeking support for personal growth, mental health concerns, or relationship challenges, my team and I are here to help.
When I’m not in session, you can find me running, practicing yoga, and spending time with my family.

Amanda Effertz
She obtained her bachelor’s in Psychology at the University of Central Florida and her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Capella University. She is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern with the state of Florida and has been working with individuals, couples, and families for a year and a half. Her passion is working with those with trauma, and helping children, teens, couples, and families reduce anxiety and create better connections. Amanda and her husband have raised two great teenagers and navigated family and marital life for over 20 years. In her spare time, she likes to read, run, visit the beach, and spend time with friends and family.

Beth Lajeunesse
She manages administrative tasks, coordinates office procedures, and supports team members to keep the workplace functioning seamlessly.
With 30 years of experience in customer service, Beth excels at handling scheduling, insurance issues and intake procedures while fostering a positive and collaborative atmosphere. Her ability to multitask and problem-solve makes them an invaluable asset to our team.
Outside of work, Beth enjoys scrapbooking, swimming and reading, bringing the same level of enthusiasm and dedication to everything she does.
